Bus Rapid Transit

"Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will bring the region together by connecting Raleigh, Cary, and Garner. BRT will provide an affordable way to move people from place to place. As we plan for development around BRT we will look at key issues facing our city.

  • How do we ensure new development enhances existing neighborhoods?
  • How do we provide the opportunity for more affordable housing?
  • How do we ensure pedestrian safety?

Join us for a community meeting where we will provide an update on the state of transit planning. We will explore how equity, sustainability, and housing affordability relate to Bus Rapid Transit.

Bike Lanes Mean Business - HQ Raleigh

"Join us for a panel discussion on the importance of people centered places for a vibrant and thriving urban center."

I'm looking forward to hearing this panel sound off about a very special topic of mine, biking in the city and why the city should focus more energy there. Biking to and from work each day is great exercise and takes one car off the street. However, each day there is a great risk from vehicles. A city with a green focus that can possibly protect it's bike lanes can do well by it's citizens.
